Helldivers 2: A Complete Guide to Terminid Warriors and Variants (100 อ่าน)
3 ม.ค. 2569 10:13
In the chaos of a bug outbreak, the Terminid Warrior is often the first heavy enemy you'll face. While they become commonplace, understanding their anatomy and behavior is crucial for survival, especially on higher difficulties where they appear in swarms. This guide breaks down how most experienced players handle them.
What are a Warrior's weak points and how much health do they have?
Warriors are unarmored, meaning any weapon can damage them. However, they have specific part health that dictates how you should engage. Their main body has 250 health. Their head, a large and exposed weak point, has 110 health and taking it off deals 100% of that damage to the main health pool. Their legs and claws each have 75 health, and destroying them deals 50% of that damage to the main body.
In practice, aiming for the head is almost always the most efficient method. Depending on your weapon—like a high-penetration rifle or a marksman rifle—it can take just one well-placed shot. Using a machine gun or an automatic weapon, a short burst to the head will usually achieve the same result. Most players focus fire on the head to eliminate threats quickly.
What happens when you shoot its head off?
This is the critical mechanic. A beheaded Warrior enters a "Berserker" state. It will blindly charge and relentlessly attack the last location it sensed you. If you stand still, you will die. The standard procedure is to immediately move away from your position. The Berserker will attack the empty space for a short time before collapsing on its own.
If you want to conserve ammunition, a well-timed melee attack (not a dive) will stagger a charging Berserker, usually stunning it long enough for it to expire. This is risky, as it puts you in its attack range, but it's a common technique among players who are confident in their timing. Simply gunning it down while backpedaling is the safer, more common approach.
Should I shoot their legs to slow them down?
While shooting off a limb (leg or claw) will drastically slow a Warrior's movement, it's generally not the primary tactic. Since a Warrior can be killed with a couple of shots to the head, most players find it more efficient to just finish the job. However, shooting a leg can be a useful support move. If a squadmate is being chased, crippling the Warrior behind them can provide the breathing room they need to escape or turn and fight.
What are the key tactics when fighting Warriors?
Movement and positioning are everything. Warriors are fast and, if you stand still, they will try to encircle you. The general rule is to keep backing away while firing. They also have a rare but dangerous ability to burrow briefly and emerge behind a Helldiver. If you lose sight of one in a fight, be prepared to spin around quickly.
On higher difficulties, you never fight just one Warrior. Controlling the horde is key. Explosives, area-of-effect weapons, and strategems like the Machine Gun Sentry are highly effective for clearing groups. Some players choose to buy Helldivers 2 items like specific weapon upgrades or armor that complements their playstyle against swarms, but understanding core mechanics is more important than any single item.
What are the different Warrior variants I should worry about?
The standard Warrior has four dangerous cousins:
Bile Warrior: Covered in green sacs and a black carapace. They explode on death, damaging and slowing anything nearby. This can cause chain reactiaons if other Bile bugs are near. Always kill them from a distance or ensure you have space to dodge the blast.
Spore Burst Warrior: Found in the Gloom, with a red/white carapace. They explode into a spore cloud on death, causing minor damage. The cloud can obscure vision, but the main threat is still their initial attack.
Alpha Warrior: These reddish Warriors are summoned silently by Alpha Commanders. They are faster and more aggressive than standard Warriors. When you hear an Alpha Commander's shriek, expect 2-4 of these to spawn and rush your position immediately. Prioritize killing the Commander to stop the summons.
Rupture Warrior: A dark red variant near the Gloom. They use burrowing as a primary attack, making them experts at surprise assaults. Constant movement and listening for underground sounds are your best defenses.
In general, the principles remain the same: aim for the head, keep moving, and prioritize targets based on the immediate threat. Mastering the Warrior is the first step to effectively managing the relentless Terminid horde.
